How do I appeal my claim for SSD or SSI disability benefits if it is denied?

Video Transcription

If you’re denied on your claim for SSDI or SSI benefits, you can appeal that initial denial with what is called a reconsideration or a request for reconsideration. That must be done within 60 days of your denial, or you could lose your rights to that appeal and have to start the process over again.
